Fire Dep.

    I decided that I wanted to try helping out on the volunteer fire department, and one of the reasons that I really have always wanted to is because I like to be involved with the people in my community and also I dont like to see people that need help or anything like that. So i saw this as a great way to help people. There is alot of learning that is involved when you decide to join. I have already had a TINY bit of in-house training, and in February I’m looking forward to starting my Fire Fighter 1 class. Until then I cant do to much, but I can do some things. Everyone has been extremely helpful and I have already learned ALOT so far.   

Election Time!!!

     Ok… to be completely honest… I dont really pay attention to this type of stuff… But i think that I really need to start looking into it because I dont want to just “pick one” or not vote at all. Sooo… As I started reading up on the candidates this year, I started to notice that I kept falling towards Mike Huckabee…

   Mike Huckabee seems to be very smart when it somes to the public and also in leadership. While reading his biography it is very easy to notice that this will not be his first time in charge, as he has been governer of Arkansas. He is also very religious, which i believe can definately help things out.

     Yes, he has had some mistakes in his history, but who hasn’t? I think this would be who I would vote for…

Is there any chance of more snow???

     Now that we are finally back from our 6 day break… I’m wondering are we getting any more snow here sometime soon. Or was the last time we got snow going to be the last time? So I’ve been looking at the weather all the time now. The sad thing is that , yes, its going to be cloudy for the next few days, but the temperature will still be rising. Where do I go???

     Okay… So it’s time to start looking at colleges! Now What? I have absolutely no idea what i want to do or where i would like to go! So something Im thinking about studying is business managment and something to do with computers (not sure what yet), but I’m also really interested in trying criminal investigation. One of the colleges I was thinking about going would be Ferrum College.

     I think that this website really does let you explore a little more about this college, and I really think that i might end up there after next year. I’m no where near finished looking at all my different options yet so who knows! I guess i’ll just have to wait and see where i end up.

Nova

 I have always loved cars. Dont ask me why because i really have no clue, But one of my favorites have always been the 72 Nova SS. The Chevelle is a lot like it and definately a more popular car, but I like the Nova because of its smaller size. My dad and I have always wanted to work on one together so that me and him would have a car we could share, and maybe even put into shows… We would like to completely restore it ourselves with our own paint and an engine we have been able to rebuild. I am excited because this will be able to be a great learning experience because i do not know to much about under the hood of a car… yet. Smith Mountain Lake!

   I Spend basicly all my time in the summer out on Smith Mountain Lake. We moved up towards this lake when my dad had bought into a partnership to own a small bar and grill. We have been visiting the lake for years though. Its a beautiful lake that was man made, and becuase of its huge size its really hard to believe! We love to go out to different places across the lake and in the summer we are ALWAYS in the boats or on the jet skis… Its a great place to have a summer vacation. Richmond…

   Richmond is a big city in Virginia. All of my grandparents live there, so for christmas everyone in my family, that possibly could, met up at their houses. While I was in Richmond I got to see alot of my family that I haven’t seen much since we moved. Also while I was in Richmond we went to a restaurant that I really love and I got a chance to shoot a few games of pool. Which I really love to do that… actually it’s one of my favorite things to do. We went out to eat with a few friends that live there and went to a Christmas party with a fmaily that i have known my whole life. Although i didn’t get to see any of my friends from school while I was in Richmond ,we weren’t in the right town, I still got to see alot of family. So I had a great time. Carhartt Jackets

  One of the things that i got for Christmas was my Carhartt jacket. I really wanted one because I have heard so many of my friends that already had one talking about how much that they liked them. Actually right before I got this one for Christmas i had been borrowing a friend of mines alot. So I ended up getting the same color jacket and everything!!! So now that i have one of my own I like it even more! Well I decided to look up a little bit on the history of Carhartt and I thought what i found was actually pretty interesting! And so Chapter 2 Begins…

   The new semester has just started and already i dont really know what to exactly expect. As of right now I’m hoping that any of my classes wont get but so much harder. Chemistry is giving me a really tough time right now and sometimes Algebra II also. I’m also hoping that maybe here sometime soon/before the end of the year I will make a closer friend at this school. Thats something I definately need to do! Get more friends!…

   It has taken me a little bit longer this year to catch up on things with the way teachers and the way that the school does things here, but i feel like i have definately caught on now. So I’m looking forward to some things getting easier. Something else I really need to start thinking about and get some ideas on is what Im going to do after high school. Next year is my senior year and I need to have some sort of an idea as to what I want to do before my last year of high school.

   Lets see… Im also going to have to work on my grades… ALOT… because if I don’t get some of them up to at least a B average I wont be able to get the advanced diploma that i really have been working hard to get! 😦 So I really think that this second semester is going to push me to do some things that I’m not really ready for, and its going to really get me to start working harder for the things that I want. Which really is a good thing…
